Anyhow, Lulu's first birthday was a lot of fun. A couple of our besties from when we were stationed in Great Lakes that are now stationed down at Camp Lejeune came up for the weekend. We had a lot of fun together. We sat around the fire Friday night, Saturday we shopped and I got Lulu's ears pierced. She was a trooper! The first ear didn't phase her one bit, and she cried for the second one, but only for a few brief minutes.
We had a small party for her on Sunday, which was her actual birthday. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this in the past, but my mom has always made me a chocolate cherry cake for me on my birthday, which I LOVE, so I wanted to make that for Lulu's first birthday, but I decided to make cupcakes. They turned out great! Soooooooo yummy! Here are a couple pictures from her big day:
